SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to valves manufacturing and is intended for use as metal seal to ensure tightness of the ball valves. The metal seal (50) for valves (10) of ball (30) type contains a ring body (51) and a ring shoulder (52) with face (52a) for relative contact with ball (30) surface. The mentioned ring body (51) is thick in longitudinal direction and is rigid. The mentioned face (52a) to ensure relative contact contains deepened radial grooves (53). There is ball valve with mentioned metal seal (50).
EFFECT: inventions group improves tightness during the valve use at high work pressures and very high and/or very low temperatures.
