SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to form images by differential phase contrast. A diffraction grating for forming images by differential phase contrast is provided with at least one portion of a first subregion and at least one portion of a second subregion. The first subregion comprises a grating structure with a plurality of bands and slits, which are periodically arranged with a first slit spacing PG1, wherein the bands are arranged such that said bands change the phase and/or amplitude of X-rays, and wherein the slits are radioparent. The second subregion is radioparent, wherein at least one portion of the second subregion provides a radioparent aperture in the grating. Portions of the first and second subregions are arranged with alternation in at least one direction.
EFFECT: high image quality.
