FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining temperature distribution in an electronic device includes steps of: starting up, in operating mode, a printed-circuit board having electronic components of an electronic device; obtaining, using a infrared detector, the thermal image of said printed-circuit board; processing, using a computing unit, the topology of the printed-circuit board with electronic components of the electronic device to obtain values of the effective thermal conductivity of the printed-circuit board; determining, using the computing unit, the thermal power of the electronic components placed on the printed-circuit board of the electronic device, based on the obtained thermal image and the effective thermal conductivity of the printed-circuit board of the electronic device; determining, using the computing unit, temperature distribution on all parts of the electronic device.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining temperature distribution on all parts of a portable electronic device.
