The technical result is achieved by the method for encoding a video sequence including the stages of receiving video data containing one or more faces; selecting one or more virtual boundaries between one or more faces of the received video data, wherein the distance between the virtual boundaries constitutes the number of brightness counts greater than or equal to the size of the encoding tree block linked with the video sequence; and disabling intra-loop filtering between one or more virtual boundaries selected from the virtual boundaries.
EFFECT: better quality of the video sequence due to the reduction in the amount of boundary artifacts.
