SUBSTANCE: apparatus which carries out a method of monitoring digital transmission systems further includes: n detachable adapters, n control objects, probabilistic forecasting device capable of predicting faults, errors (breakdowns) on a given time interval, a control device capable of generating, based on received identification signals and taking into account technical state forecasting, identification codes for the n-th detachable adapter and the n-th control object with subsequent transmission thereof to a computer, the first and second inputs of which are connected to the first and second outputs of a response signal parameter measuring device, respectively, the third input is connected to the computer output and the fourth input is connected to the second output of the probabilistic forecasting device, the first output of the control device is connected to the computer input, and the second output is connected to the first input of the probabilistic forecasting device, the first output of which is connected to the input of the n-th control object.

EFFECT: high reliability of diagnosing digital transmission systems.
