SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway vehicles. Braking appliance comprises spaced apart first and second braking bars, first changeover lever articulated with one braking bar. Braking appliance comprises also the turned-up flange, connection link, second changeover lever articulated with the other braking bar, the first force transfer element for articulation with the link and second changeover lever, and second force transfer element for articulation with opposite ends of appropriate first and second changeover levers. In compliance with the first version, the first changeover lever articulation means comprises the flange and connection link. In compliance with the other version, said appliance comprises the flange extending upward at the lever first arm end, said flange having the elongated lug.

EFFECT: simplified changeover of gear ratio and adaptation to clearance in the bolster.
