FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable to type the follicular ovaries apparatus structure in virginal adolescent females suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome with no concomitant endocrine metabolic pathology. Complex three-dimensional echography from a transrectal approach is performed. The ovaries size is calculated; the nature of follicle location and the diameter of follicles according to 3D reconstruction findings are determined. If observing the enlarged ovaries with equal-sized follicles distributed over the stroma volume, a diffuse equal-sized follicular ovaries apparatus structure is diagnosed. If observing the enlarged ovaries with the follicles of different diameters arranged randomly, a random different-sized follicular ovaries apparatus structure is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method ensures typing the follicular ovaries apparatus structure by performing the 3D echography from the transrectal approach making it possible to examine the ovarian echostructure.
