SUBSTANCE: treating polycystic ovarian syndrome in adolescent girls having the normal body weight, however no metabolic-endocrine comorbidity and active and sub-compensated chronic extragenital diseases, with the use of non-hormonal preparations is ensured by prescribing two non-hormonal target herbal preparations from the first day of spontaneous or gestagen-induced menstruation: indinol 600 mg twice a day and epigallat 1,000 mg twice a day continuously over a period of 6 months.
EFFECT: normalising the menstruation rhythm in the adolescents, making it possible to recommend these preparations as an alternative to hormone therapy, especially provided combined oral contraceptives are contraindicated or rejected.
