SUBSTANCE: composition for producing a low-density material for protecting devices from mechanical action based on hollow microspheres contains, vol%: hollow glass or pearlite microspheres with the packed density of 0.03-0.06 g/cm3 58-75, thermally expandable polymer microspheres based on the copolymer of polyacrylonitrile and polymethacrylonitrile or a copolymer of vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile with the foaming temperature of 70-120°C and packed density of 0.47 g/cm3 12-50, and preferably expanded thermally expandable polymer microspheres based on a copolymer of polyacrylonitrile and polymethacrylonitrile with the foaming temperature of 120-180°C and packed density of 0.03 g/cm3 10-30.
