SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in processing oil spills and in paper production. To manufacture calcium carbonate-containing material with processed surface initial material is brought in contact with at least one salt o fatty acid C₅-C₂₈, selected from the group, including salts of primary alkanolamines of monoatomic alcohols, salts of polyethyleneimine and their mixture. Said calcium carbonate-containing material is processed, applying in total from 0.1 to 3 wt % of said salts of fatty acids relative to dry weight of said calcium carbonate-containing material.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify obtaining materials, introduced in form of water suspension to extract organic substances, present both in volume and on the surface of water systems.
