FIELD: textile and paper.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of paper, plastic, paint, coatings, cement or in agriculture. For producing of self-binding pigment particles aqueous suspension containing at least one material containing calcium carbonate, mixed with at least one acid or acid salt, taken in amount from 0.001 to 40 wt% of total weight of dry material containing calcium carbonate. Anion acid or acid salt is capable to form of water-insoluble calcium salts. Obtained suspension is mixed with anionic polymer binder, taken in amount from 0.001 to 20 wt% of total weight of dry material, and at least one cationic polymer, taken in amount from 0.001 to 20 wt% of total weight of dry material. Binder contains at least one modified polysaccharide.

EFFECT: invention allows improving optical and mechanical properties of paper products, avoiding the stage of grinding and concentration of pigment particles.
