FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to extrusion of elastomer compounds. Claimed process comprises the steps that follow. First, physical and chemical properties of extruded compound are evaluated. One of replaceable extruding heads are selected and mounted at the extruder discharge opening subject to said physical and chemical properties. Or, said discharge hole is kept open to maintain the compound temperature and/or extruder output pressure below the critical threshold magnitudes for compound. Not here that said replaceable extruding heads incorporate the shape-changing nozzle and calendaring device. Note here that the extruder comprises the first support case retaining the shape-changing nozzle and second support case retaining the calendaring device. Note here that both support cases displace between the first and second positions whereat they are fitted in the discharge hole and second position whereat they are spaced from said discharge hole. Precursor of fabricated compound is forced via the extruder feed hole. Said precursor is mixed and displaced along the extruder chamber accommodating the extruding auger with conveying are and the compound plastication area along it lengthwise extension. The compound is released through extruding head or open discharge hole.

EFFECT: optimised efficiency without deterioration of extruded product quality.
