FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining strontium fluoride powder, activated with neodymium fluoride, includes interaction of ammonium fluoride solution with solution, which contains strontium nitrate and neodymium nitrate. Obtained sediment is separated, washed, dried and subjected to thermal processing. Solution, which contains ions of strontium and neodymium with their molar ratio from 0.997:0.003 to 0.98:0.02, respectively, is applied. Ammonium fluoride is taken with 100-120% excess from stoichiometry. Thermal processing of dried sediment is carried out in two stages. First stage is carried out at temperature 200-250°C for 0.5-1 hour at rate of heating 5-7 degree/min, second - at 550-600°C, with rate of heating being 10-15 degree/min in atmosphere of emitted hydrogen fluoride for 2-3 hours.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain finely disperse water-free powder of strontium fluoride, activated with neodymium fluoride, with homogenous chemical and phase composition and high product output.
