FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining synthesis-gas and/or hydrogen by incomplete oxidation of fuel, including: methane, propane, butane, liquid hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulphide, solid fuels, including biomass, solid hydrocarbons, coal, as well as mixtures, containing said components, in tubular reverse flow reactor, includes: heating of at least part of tubular reactor chamber, filled with solid porous material, to high temperature; supply of two reagents - fuel and oxygen-containing gas in quantity, insufficient for complete fuel oxidation, into tubular reactor; carrying out reaction of fuel and oxygen-containing gas in layer of solid porous material; creation in tubular reactor of gas flow from one end of reactor to the other end by supply of gaseous reagent from one end of reactor and output of gaseous reaction products in form of synthesis-gas from the opposite end; measurement of temperature in reactor; periodic change of gas flow direction in reactor; with reagents being supplied into reactor separately: one of reagents, gaseous reagent -A-, is supplied from one end of reactor, and second reagent -B- is supplied into middle part of reactor, mixing reagent B with gaseous reagent A, heated due to heat-exchange with solid porous material, is carried out in middle part of reactor. Also claimed is reactor, making it possible to realise conversion process.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide high energy efficiency of conversion of hydrogen-containing raw material into synthesis-gas or hydrogen.
