FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises the feed of revolving axial tool composed by cylindrical bar of tool steel. End section of said rod is spherical or flat and perpendicular or inclined to tool axis, or with one or several chamfers. At performing the shaping job, the tool is revolved about its axis to perform the planetary revolution along with the opposed or parallel displacement in helical line relative to the machined bore axis involving the shaping of top collar, main bore and bottom collar and with detachment of the bottom from sheet material.
EFFECT: smooth bore its depth at least 1,5 times larger than its width, higher microstructure, control over degree of hardening and surface roughness.
