FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: abrasive article contains a substrate in form of wire, the abrasive particles secured to the substrate, wherein the abrasive particles contain the first layer of coating above the abrasive particles, and second layer of coating that differs form the fist layer, and is located above it, wherein the second layer of the coating contains low temperature metal alloy (LTMA), its melting point is maximum 450°C, and binding layer located above the substrate and abrasive particles. The method includes use of the substrate containing elongated element, with ratio length: width at least 10:1; the substrate treatment with creation of the binding film; arrangement of the abrasive particles containing the second layer of the coating out of low temperature metal alloy (LTMA) on the binding film, wherein the melting temperature of the said alloy is maximum 450°C; treatment of the substrate ensuring binding of the abrasive particles with the substrate, and creation of the binding layer above the abrasive particles.
EFFECT: increased wear-resistance of the abrasive tool for wire cutting.
