FIELD: cutting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in making wire abrasive articles used, in particular, for cutting stone or marble. Abrasive article comprises a substrate having an elongated body, a plurality of discrete areas of connection defining an intermittent distribution of elements located above the substrate. At least one discrete area comprises a metal material with a melting point of not more than 450 °C, and at least one abrasive particle is connected to each discrete area. There are multiple discrete structures located above the substrate at a distance from the plurality of discrete regions and not containing abrasive particles, as well as a binding layer located above said elements, regions and structures.
EFFECT: reduced wear of abrasive article and longer service life.
