FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: hollow metal pipe with an essentially cylindrical cross-section is deformed to a hollow section with an essentially rectangular cross-section, having in essence a flat top wall creating a load carrying platform, and a method of disposal of transverse-corrugated hollow cylindrical aluminium cores after the removal of a wounded on them plate or tape material, in which the cores are deformed in the section with an essentially rectangular cross-section by the application to the cores along their full length of the directed in essence radial pressure, and the ready sections are secured to each other to form the load carrying platform.
EFFECT: possibility to obtain hollow long blanks out of hard-to-machine materials.
