FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of power section of downhole motor. Downhole motor manufacturing method, in which providing an intermediate assembly comprising a core of a rotor of a downhole motor, which has a profiled surface forming a group of rotor teeth extending along the length of the rotor core, formed by helical flanges of teeth, separated from each other by screw cavities of teeth, winding a piece of uncured first high-molecular elastomer along helical path around intermediate assembly to cover outer surface of intermediate assembly and form final assembly of rotor core, high-molecular elastomer is cured in the final assembly, wherein the rotor core comprises a longitudinal hole for passing the heated fluid medium through said opening when curing the high-molecular elastomer, cured high-molecular elastomer is machined in the final assembly to form a uniform cured elastomer sealing layer.

EFFECT: higher reliability of screw volumetric engine with increase of output power, efficiency and output torque, as well as improvement of resistance to high temperatures, resistance to abrasive wear, resistance to rupture.
