FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: catalyst for metathesis polymerisation of dicyclopentadiene of general formula (1) , where substituents R1 and X+Y are selected from the group: R1=Me, X+Y=NH, [1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazole-idinylidene]chloro(2-((acetamidoaminomethyl)-methyl)benzylidene)ruthenium - K1; R1=Et, X+Y=NH, [1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazole-idinylidene]chloro(2-((acetamidoaminomethyl)-ethyl)benzylidene)ruthenium - K2; R1=Bn, X=C1, Y=NH2, [1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazoleidinylidene]dichloro(o-N-acetamido-N-benzylaminomethylphenylmethylene)ruthenium - K3 or R1=Me, X=Cl, Y=NHPh, [1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazoleidinylidene]dichloro(o-N-benzyl-N-(N-phenylacetamido)aminomethylphenylmethylene)ruthenium - K4. Catalyst is obtained by interaction of triphenylphosphine complex of ruthenium with 1,1-diphenyl-2-propyn-1-ol in tetrahydrofurane or dioxane at temperature of solvent boiling in inert atmosphere, with further separation of indenylidiene complex of ruthenium with tricyclohexylphosphine at room temperature in inert atmosphere. The latter is consecutively subjected to interaction with 1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-trichloromethylimidazoleidene and aminostyrene, selected from the group of aminostyrenes: 2-(methyl(2-vinylbenzyl)amino)acetamide, 2-(ethyl(2-vinylbenzyl)amino)acetamide, 2-(benzyl(2-vinylbenzyl)amino)acetamide2-(methyl(2-vinylbenzyl)amino)-N-phenylacetamide. Formed product is extracted and dried.

EFFECT: possibility to set time of beginning and rate of polymerisation with high accuracy, high output of catalyst, activity and purity of catalyst and minimisation of side admixtures in synthesis process, extension of technological possibilities in dicyclopentadiene polymerisation of and obtaining product from polycyclopentadiene with high consumer properties.
