FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining hydrophilic cross-linked polymer with properties of supersorbent is characterised by the fact that 0.01-0.30 wt % of hydrogen peroxide is added into 5 wt % solution of polysaccharide in 2% water solution of acetic acid, which contains 0.01-0.20 wt % of formaldehyde or ascorbic acid, at temperature 18-30°C , and reaction mixture is exposed for 15-40 min with intensive mixing, After that, solution of acrylamide in (meth)acrylic acid or N,N-di(methyl)ethyloxyethylmethacrylate is introduced into reaction mass in ratio 0.1:0.9÷0.9:0.1 molar parts and 0.1-10.0 wt % of N,N-methylene-bis-acrylamide or diethyleneglycoldimethacrylate, propyleneglycoldimethacrylate and reaction mass with mixing is exposed for 3 h at temperature 18-30°C, and lyophilically dried.

EFFECT: elimination of expensive components and equipment from method of obtaining cross-linked polymer.
