FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: described is radiopaque substance, based on hexanuclear rhenium cluster complexes, expressed by formulae: [{Re6Q8}L1 nL2 mX6-n-m]q and [{Re6Q8}L1 nL2 mY6-n-m]q, containing octahedral cluster nucleus {Re6Q8}, in which Q is S or Se; where L1 and L2 stand for pyridine-containing ligands, which are bound with cluster nucleus by means of Re-N bond, where X stands for residues of organic and inorganic monobasic acids and Y stands for residues of organic and inorganic dibasic acids. Technical result consists in reduction of radiopaque substance toxicity and, as a result, in reduction of probability of development of contrast-inducing nephropathy. Unique peculiarity of invention consists in electroneutrality and presence of biologically safe ligand surrounding with hydrophilic non-ionogenic functional groups, which provides iso-osmolarity to physiological fluids.
EFFECT: possibility of reducing introduced doses of preparation.
