FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used to introduce a surgical circular suturing instrument into a patient's body. The introducer comprises a hollow flexible tube with a distal end and an open proximal end. A size of the proximal end enables the tube to enclose a portion of a suturing head of the circular suturing instrument. A radially opening cylindrical element is attached to the distal end of the hollow flexible tube. The cylindrical element forms a hole, which encloses the suturing head.
EFFECT: introducer facilitates inserting the surgical suturing instrument into an inferior intestine through anal orifice.
