SUBSTANCE: method of purifying surface and underground water from titanium and compounds thereof includes bringing contaminated water into contact with an adsorbent, where as the adsorbent carbon nanotubes are used, which are placed in an ultrasonic bath and the carbon nanotubes and the purified water are exposed to ultrasound with a frequency of 42 kHz and power of 50 W for 1-15 min.

EFFECT: complete removal of titanium and compounds thereof from water due to the very high adsorption capacity of carbon nanotubes.
