FIELD: wastewater purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method for the adsorption purification of wastewater from aromatic compounds of the benzene series. The method includes filtration through an adsorbent, while the adsorbent consists of bentonite modified with carbon nanotubes (CNT), with a mass ratio bentonite: CNT=100:0.02, where CNT is 0.02% relatively to bentonite by weight. The initial bentonite is dried in a microwave field with a power of 600 W for 5-7 minutes, which leads to a decrease in humidity to 5% and grinding of the substrate to a particle size not larger than 5 mcm. Next, the bentonite granules are formed by vortex pelletizing in the container of a granulator-mixer of the oxidizing-reducing potential (ORP) type with the gradual addition of a wetting agent of 10-20 ml/min. After that, the bentonite granules are heat treated for 2 hours at a temperature of 550ºC in an inert oxygen-free environment.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of purification of wastewater of industrial enterprises of chemical, light, pharmaceutical, paint and varnish industries and other industries from aromatic compounds of the benzene series to the regulatory requirements for the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants.
