SUBSTANCE: sensor tube (12) is proposed for protection of a sensor (13), introduced into a moving process fluid medium. The sensor tube (12) includes a section (16) of contact with the process fluid medium for installation in a process reservoir and an extended section passing from the section (16) of contact with the process fluid medium to a tightly closed end (22). The extended section includes a twisted section (20), having a longitudinal axis. The section (16) of contact with the process fluid medium and the extended section form a channel (36) for the sensor, made as capable of sensor (13) installation in it. The twisted section (20) has a cross section, which includes at least three walls of identical size, which form a polygon, and in which walls produce spirals along the longitudinal axis of the twisted section.
