FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ore dressing with the help of electrostatic separation. In compliance with claimed process, mineral substrate is mixed with reagent for modification of the fluid electrostatic properties to get the suspension whereat at least one mineral component and/or non-conducting mineral component is electrostatically modified. Obtained suspension is dried and electric field is applied to the dry mix. At least the portion of electrostatically modified component is separated from said dry mix. Reagent for modification of the fluid electrostatic properties is selected from the group of some chemical compounds.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
