FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method includes successive heating by the local heating inductor of the teeth of the rotating tooth-wheel to the specified temperature, and their liquid cooling. The inductor with magnetic core is used, width of the work part of the inductor is made equal to at least tooth pitch of the tooth-wheel over its pitch line, and its length is equal to 1.2-1.5 of tooth length of the tooth-wheel. The work part of the inductor is located with its middle at distance 0.3-0.5 mm from surface of the tooth tip, and the longitudinal axis of the work part of the inductor is arranged at angle 15-30° relatively to the tooth direction.
EFFECT: high quality of heat treatment and expansion of the process abilities.
