FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to production of blanks of thermally deformable non-hardenable aluminium-magnesium alloys with transition metals additives. Invention may be used in various industries, e.g. ship building, motor car construction, aerospace engineering, etc. It discloses the alloy including the transition metals that make the transition metals aluminides. Claimed process comprises the deformation of initial billet at the temperature above the alloy β-phase solvus temperature Ts in several passes and several passes of cold rolling. Note here that said cold deformation of initial billet is executed to the actual total deformation degree e selected in the range of 3-7, in the temperature range some 45-77°C above the alloy β-phase solvus temperature, Ts. The cold rolling is executed at the total reduction of 65-80%.
EFFECT: production of blanks that feature high strength, resilience at cold forming and superplastic forming.
