FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal processing by pressure, more specifically to the methods of manufacturing the billet of the housing of the microassembly module used in aviation, rocket and space and underwater technology. The method for manufacturing the housings of microwave modules includes the formation of a billet for the housing of a microelectronics module made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, while the billet of the housing is formed by forging according to the following technological mode: cutting a dimensional single billet with a circular saw, while the ratio of the length of the billet to its diameter and width is no more than 2.5 and provides the possibility of precipitation during forging, processing by comprehensive forging with the use of heating the billet in a gas or electric furnace up to 340°C and holding it at this temperature for no more than twenty minutes, forging of the workpiece is carried out in three upsets with a hammer by 60% and broaches across the fiber with a rotation of 90 degrees with the implementation of size control, reheating of the workpiece and repetition of forging operations to obtain the required dimensions of the workpiece in accordance with the specified dimensions.
EFFECT: possibility of improving the quality of finished module housings, increasing their service life without loss of tightness by optimizing structural changes during their manufacture, based on a criteria-based approach to the number of isolated intermetallics in the alloy of the Al-Mg system.
