FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely injectors. An injector comprises a body, an in-built container holder, a drive assembly and a rotary mechanism of injection indication. The container holder is configured to comprise a drug container having a needle attached to one end thereof, and a piston stopper hermetically configured to slide inside the above drug container from the other end thereof. The drive assembly comprises a piston rod and a piston drive unit configured to slide in the relation to the piston rod; a piston drive unit is blocked from rotating about the piston rod, however configured to rotate about the body. The drive assembly additionally comprises a first energy storage unit integrated into the injector body and configured to accumulate and store energy. The piston drive unit is operatively connected with the first energy storage unit, wherein the piston drive unit is releasable so that an output torque from the above first energy storage unit enables the piston drive unit to rotate; whereas the piston rod pushes through towards a proximal end of the injector thereby an injection is performed. The rotary mechanism of injection indication is configured to indicate an injection progress for the user; the above rotary mechanism of injection indication comprises a signal element and a driving mechanism for rotary actuation of the above signal element. The driving mechanism is connected to the piston drive unit on the distal end of the above piston drive unit; the rotary mechanism of injection indication is mounted so that the injection progress is indicated, e.g. through at least one opening formed in at least a distal end surface of the body.
