FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely injectors. An injector comprises a body, an in-built container holder, a piston rod, first and second energy storage units, a piston drive unit and a container pull unit. The container holder encloses a drug container having a needle attached to one end thereof, and a piston stopper hermetically configured to slide inside the above drug container from the other end thereof. The piston rod is arranged so that its proximal end contacts with the above piston stopper. The first and second energy storage units are integrated into the injector body and configured to accumulate and store energy. The piston drive unit is provided to slide in relation to the piston rod; a piston drive unit is blocked from rotating about the piston rod, however configured to rotate about the body; the piston drive unit is operatively connected with the first energy storage unit. The container pull unit is configured attachable to the container holder and engaged by a thread to the piston rod. The container pull unit is operatively connected with the second energy storage unit so that an axial force output from the second energy storage unit enables the container holder and piston rod axially movable in relation to the body at a pre-set distance towards the proximal end of the injector from an initial locked position into a second position; that enables the needle to penetrate. In the initial locked position, the piston drive unit is blocked by means of the container pull unit from rotation.
EFFECT: piston drive unit is releasable; so an output torque from the above first energy storage unit enables the piston drive unit to rotate; whereas the piston rod pushes through towards a proximal end of the injector thereby an injection is performed.
