FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing salts of formula Ma+[B(Rf)(CN)x(F)y]a - (I), which can be used as ionic liquids. The method includes reaction of an alkali metal salt of formula Me+[B(Rf)F3]- (II) with trialkylsilyl cyanide to obtain a salt of formula Me+[B(Rf)(CN)x(F)y]- (III) and a salt exchange reaction of a salt of formula III with a salt formula MA (IV). In formula I Ma+ is a silver, copper (I) or copper (II) cation or an organic cation, Rf is a straight or branched perfluorinated alkyl group containing 1-4 C atoms, C6F5, C6H5, a partially fluorinated phenyl or a phenyl which is mono- or disubstituted with a perfluoroalkyl group containing 1-4 C atoms, where the perfluoroalkyl group is independently selected, a equals 1 or 2, x equals 1, 2 or 3, y equals 0, 1 or 2, where 0 is excluded if Rf=C6H5, and x+y=3. In formula II Me+ is a lithium, potassium, sodium, caesium or rubidium cation, and Rf has a value given above. In formula III Me+, Rf, x and y have values given above. The alkyl group in trialkylsilyl cyanide is in each case, independently, a straight or branched alkyl group containing 1-4 C atoms. In formula IV M has a value given for Ma+, and A is selected from a group of anions F-, Cl-, Br-, I-, OH-, [HF2]-, [CN]-, [SCN]- etc. The invention also relates to a method of producing compounds of formula III, certain lithium salts of formula III, as well as to an electrolyte and an electrochemical cell including said salts.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain salts of formula I with good output from readily available raw materials.
