FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for producing substituted 3-aryl-5-chloroisoxazoles of general formula (I), where R is H, 3-Cl, 3-Br, 3-NO2, 4-Cl, 4-Br, 4-F, 4-NO2, 2-NO2. The method is carried out by reacting 2-aryl-1,1-dichlorocyclopropanes of general formula (a), where R is as defined above, with a nitrosating agent, which is used as nitrosyl sulfuric acid. The reaction is carried out in nitromethane at a temperature of 75-80°C, by mixing 2.0-2.5 wt % of nitrosyl sulfuric acid and 97.5-98.0 wt % of nitromethane. Herewith 2.5-3.0 moles of nitrosyl sulfuric acid are added to 1 mole of 2-aryl-1,1-dichlorocyclopropane, the reaction time is 2.5-3.5 h.
EFFECT: producing 3-aryl-5-chloroisoxazoles with high yields and high purity of the product.
