SUBSTANCE: lighting device (1) for providing uniform distribution of light intensity relative to the optical axis of a lighting device comprises: a light source (7); a housing (3) arranged such that it contains the light source (7). The housing (3) has a partially transparent housing portion arranged in parallel to the optical axis of the lighting device (1); and a reflector (4) situated within the housing (3); the housing (3) and the reflector (4) together define a single light mixing chamber (6), in which the reflector (4) is mounted to reflect light from the light source (7) from said optical axis of the lighting device (1) towards the partially transparent housing portion.
EFFECT: improved light intensity distribution.
