SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an item of clothing providing protection against bullets and fragments, and comprising a bulletproof jacket (1), and the bulletproof jacket (1) comprises a multi-layered protective armour package (11) having a ventral protective part (111) and a dorsal protective part (112), in which the ventral protective part (111) and the dorsal protective part (112) are made with the ability to close the shoulder by overlapping, and a cover (12) to accommodate the protective armour package (11), and in the said item of clothing the cover (12) comprises a first ventral panel comprising pocket for placement of the ventral protective part (111) of the protective armour package (11) and a second ventral panel providing partial coverage of the first ventral panel.

EFFECT: object of the invention is to provide a protective armour item of clothing, providing continuous protection of the chest while simultaneous ensuring easy putting on and taking off.
