FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnosing druses of optic nerve. Measuring the area of disc rim (Rim Aria), volume of optic disk excavation. Diagnostics is performed by optical coherence tomography according to Optic Disc Cube 200×200 protocol. Additionally, the optic disk area (Disk Aria) is defined, as well as thickness of retinal nerve fibres in four quadrants (RNFL Thickness). If the volume of excavation is equal to zero, the optic disk area and area of disk rim are equal, thickness of retinal nerve fibres in at least two quadrants of OND is less than 80 nm, then OND druses is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables higher information value and reliable diagnosis of optic nerve disc druses, reduce labour intensity of diagnosis ensured by using optical coherence tomography.
