FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. For pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PEG) development risk prediction in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PES) is performed examination of optic disk parameters and macula by means of optical coherent tomography of retina. Patients with ocular manifestations of pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PES) are examined for morphometric values of optic disc: nerve fiber layer thickness, area neuroretinal girdle and thickness of ganglionic complexes of the macular area, and optic disk micro-haemodynamic parameters: vascular density and perfusion density. If the patients with PES with background of normal intraocular pressure under dynamic observation, morphometric values are stable, and micro-haemodynamic values in central and peripapillary optic disk areas have negative dynamics, then possible transition of PES to PEG of initial stage is predicted.
EFFECT: presented is a method for predicting the risk of developing pseudoexfoliation glaucoma.
