METHOD FOR PREDICTING RESULTS OF OPTICAL NEURITIS TREATMENT DURING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS MANIFESTATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B3/12 A61B3/24 A61B3/10 A61B8/10

Abstract RU 2680016 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and instrumental diagnostics, and can be used to predict the result of treatment of optical neuritis during the manifestation of multiple sclerosis (MS). Determine the electrical lability, spend microperimetry program macula 12° 10 dB and spectral optical coherence tomography using the Optic Disc Cube 200×200 program with the measurement of the average thickness of the layer of nerve fibers of the retina (LNFR) and the excavation of the optic nerve head (ONH). And if a patient with a new-onset monocular optic neuritis due to MS manifestation has an electrical lability less than 19 Hz, the central scotoma with dimensions greater than 6°, the average photosensitivity index is less than 20 dB, the average thickness of the LNFR is more than 105 microns, the amount of excavation of the optic disc is equal to 0, then the prediction of the result of treatment of optical neuritis is unfavorable. And if the electrical lability is more than 19 Hz, the central scotoma size is less than 6°, the indicator of average photosensitivity is less than 20.0 dB, the average thickness of LNFR is less than 105 microns, the amount of excavation of the ONH is more than 0, then the prediction of the result of treatment of optical neuritis is favorable.

EFFECT: method ensures the timely prescription of pathogenetically directed therapy and the determination of the optimal tactics for managing a patient with a MS using the determination of electrical lability, microperimetry, and spectral optical coherent tomography.
