FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a foam-based phenolic resins and use thereof. Foam is produced by using at least following steps: a) production of a prepolymer by condensing at least a phenol compound and formaldehyde in a ratio of 1:1.0-1:0.15-5 using 3.0 wt% of raw materials used a basic catalyst at a temperature from 50 to 100°C to obtain refractive index of reaction mixture of 1.4990-1.5020 measured at 25°C according to DIN 51423-2; b) addition of 5 to 40 wt% of raw materials used by at least one natural polyphenol at a temperature of 50 to 100 °C; c) addition of 2 to 10 wt% of feedstock used one or more emulsifiers, and mixtures thereof; g) addition of 2 to 10 wt% of feedstock used one or more blowing agents, and mixtures thereof; d) addition of 10 to 20 wt% of raw materials used hardener and e) curing.
EFFECT: result is production of biological material based on a thermosetting foam having improved properties, in particular enhanced fire retardant properties with substantially constant properties of foam.
