FIELD: processing and recycling of waste.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing liquid radioactive wastes (LRW) for maximum reduction of their volumes and removal of radionuclides with concentration in solid phase. Disclosed method involves oxidation of wastes, separation from liquid phase of slurries, colloids and suspended particles and removal from liquid phase of radionuclides for subsequent recycling using selective sorbents and filters. Before stage of separation from liquid phase of radioactive waste sludge, colloids and suspended particles is added into liquid wastes while stirring, selective sorbents in form of powders, obtained suspension is then filtered, while pumping through at least one tank designed for recycling of wastes and equipped with outlet, at least one filter element. Further, filtrate is passed through at least one tank designed for recycling of wastes with granulated selective sorbents, said vessels are placed in concrete blocks.

EFFECT: high radiation protection of service personnel during production, namely: reducing radiation dose on personnel during processing liquid radioactive wastes, simplified process, obtaining during processing liquid radioactive wastes of end product (unit), safe for transfer and use and requiring no special radiation safety measures.
