FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: refractory contains chamotte bricks installed on the furnace internal surface, and has shoulders. The shoulders are made out of a formed material with the thermal-expansion coefficient same or higher than the thermal-expansion coefficient of the chamotte brick, in the form of the elements projecting from the refractory, located diametrically and with a longitudinal displacement relative to each other. The bottom part of the shoulder is installed on the furnace internal surface in the refractory socket, having the shape of the truncated pyramid with a rectangular base adjacent to the furnace internal surface. The shoulder top part located in the refractory and projecting beyond the refractory strake is secured by wedging. The shoulders are made out of chamotte or mullite, and are concave repeating the shape of the refractory strake.
EFFECT: increased reliability of work of the rotating furnace and its refractory strength.
