FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. An electronic ophthalmic lens comprises: a wearable ophthalmic lens having an optical zone and a peripheral zone; an element with variable optical properties integrated into the optical zone of the wearable ophthalmic lens; the element with the variable optical properties is configured to vary a lens power of the wearable ophthalmic lens; and an electronic component integrated into the peripheral zone of the wearable ophthalmic lens. The electronic component comprises a sensor system for detecting a ciliary muscle motion related to the process of accommodation. The sensor system comprises a contact sensor accommodating one or more contacts configured to provide a direct electric contact with an eye lachrymal film to detect electric signals formed by the ciliary muscle, and a measuring instrument for detecting at least one of voltage, current intensity and impedance, and an analogue-to-digital converter functionally connected to one or more contacts. The sensor system is configured to generate an action to control the element with the variable optical properties.
EFFECT: using the present invention is expected to extend the range of electronic ophthalmic lenses.
