FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed process consists in fabrication of the mould with riser sleeves. Thermocouples connected to the recorder measuring the temperatures at the interval not over 1 s are fitted the surface and inside the inserts. In compliance with obtained data, graph insert surface temperature variation and metal cooling inside the insert is plotted. The graphs are used to define the time and temperature of exothermal reaction start and finish, maximum temperature of the insert surface, time of insert metal stable temperature preservation and time of metal cooling inside the insert to solidus temperature.
EFFECT: higher yield.
