FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of grain-oriented electrical steel sheet used for manufacturing the iron cores of transformers. Textured sheet is obtained by irradiation of the steel sheet with high energy beam to create in it regions of linear deformations arranged in a direction crossing the rolling direction of the steel sheet. Applied to the surface of the steel sheet is silicon dioxide free of colloidal coating containing aluminum phosphate and chromic acid. Sintering of the coating liquid is carried out to restore the insulating coating on the steel sheet, wherein the sintering is performed in a temperature range from 260 °C to 350 °C at a heating rate of 50 °C/s or less. Irradiated sheet area ratio of the insulation coating containing defects to the total area of the insulation coating in the said area, is 40 % or less. Maximum width of the damaged zone irradiation in the rolling direction is 250 m or less, and the thickness of the insulation coating is 0.3 m or more and 2.0 m or less.
EFFECT: sheets have low iron loss, high insulating properties and high corrosion resistance.
