SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and aims at prevention of anaemia, developing in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) as result of combination antiviral therapy (CAT). CHC patient in need of CAT and having high risk of the CAT-associated anaemia, exactly 10 days before CAT is subjected to daily intravenous introduction of 20.0 ml of auto blood hemolysate (ABH). During whole course of CAT intravenous introduction of ABH is continued in same dosage once in 7 days, wherein patient's median cubital vein of 10.0 ml of blood in syringe 20.0 ml at 50 % pre-filled with distilled water, and then, leaving puncture needle ABH formed in syringe is introduced back into vascular bed.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the probability of developing severe CAT-associated anaemia.
