SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for oral care, comprising: a) humectant component in an amount of from 40 % to 77 %, by weight of the composition, wherein the humectant component comprising: i) from 0.25 % to 7 %, by weight of composition Humidifier structurant selected from polyethylene glycols having an average molecular weight of from 3,000 to 8,000, and mixtures thereof; and ii) at least one secondary humectant, wherein the secondary humectant selected from glycerin, glycerol, sorbitol, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycols of low molecular weight, food polyalcohols and mixtures thereof; b) precipitated silica as an abrasive in an amount of from 5 % to 35 %, by weight of the composition; c) from 0 % to 1.5 %, by weight of the composition, a viscosity modifier, selected from gums, binders, cellulosic thickeners, and mixtures thereof; d) the total solids content of 50 % or less by weight of the composition; e) water in an amount of from 5 % to 12 %, by weight of the composition; wherein the composition is characterized by a water activity of 0.25 to 0.46 as measured at 22 °C and wherein the structurant is added to the moisturizer composition in solution with a solvent or is added in a controlled manner in the form of molten material to the composition at a temperature less than 35 °C, and with turbulent stirring or vigorous shaking.

EFFECT: invention provides a composition which is structured by adjusting the level of activity of the composition of water and a humidifier incorporating a structurant.
