FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to oral care compositions containing water-soluble long-chain polyphosphate salts in particulate form. What is offered is a dental composition containing: a) a water-soluble polyphosphate salt in particulate form with the polyphosphate salt containing a polyphosphate anion containing at least 10 phosphate units; and b) an orally acceptable carrier; with the polyphosphate salt having such particle-size distribution in which less than 10% of salt volume are more than 160 mm, and less than 20% of salt volume are less than 5 mm. The dentifrice composition shows good stability and acceptable taste. What is also offered is the orally acceptable water-soluble polyphosphate salt in particulate form containing the polyphosphate anion containing at least 10 phosphate units and having the particle-size distribution with less than 10% of salt volume being more than 160 mm, and less than 20% of salt volume being less than 5 mm.
EFFECT: using the polyphosphate salt with the specified properties in dentifrice compositions provides good stability and acceptable taste.
