SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control system for reducing effects of play in vehicle steering assembly. Control system for reducing effects of play in steering assembly comprises steering wheel turn angle transducer and vehicle speed transducer. System also comprises a sensor determining actual vehicle direction change and issuing warning turn signal. System also includes control unit, receiving these signals and using steering wheel turn angle, speed and actual direction change data as a base for calculation of additional turning angle at steering, reducing the difference between expected controlled wheel direction changing and their actual direction changing during said steering wheel turn angle. Control unit generates a signal of additional turning angle at steering, adding this value to the manually controlled steering system.

EFFECT: increased driving comfort.
