SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling a vehicle and to vehicle control equipment. Vehicle control equipment includes: sensor configured to detect state outside the considered vehicle, and control device. Control device is made: to restore trajectory of the considered vehicle by means of provision of taxiing value relative to traffic lane of the considered vehicle. Sensor detection data enable to determine whether another vehicle is moving in an adjacent lane. When determining movement of the other vehicle adjacent to the adjacent vehicle in front of the vehicle in question, the taxi steering response increases to a higher response than the response in normal control before the vehicle in question overrides the other vehicle.

EFFECT: increased safety during operation.
